Bajaj Auto has launched the 2026 Bajaj Dominar 400 in India at Rs 2.03 lakh (ex-showroom). Thanks to a revised, GST-friendly engine, the motorcycle is now around Rs 37,000 more affordable than before, making it a more accessible option in the sport-touring segment. The biggest update on the 2026 Bajaj Dominar 400 is its new 349.13 cc engine, downsized from the earlier 373 cc unit. This change allows the bike to fall under a lower 18% GST slab, helping reduce the overall price. Interestingly, the revised engine size aligns with motorcycles in the sub-400 cc category, reflecting a growing industry trend of optimizing displacement for taxation benefits. Despite the smaller engine, the 2026 Bajaj Dominar 400 delivers 40 bhp of power and 33.2 Nm of torque. This ensures that the bike continues to offer strong highway performance and remains a capable long-distance tourer. The 2026 Bajaj Dominar 400 weighs 190 kg, making it 3 kg lighter than its predecessor. This slight reduction results in improved handling and better overall ride dynamics. The Bajaj Dominar 400 retains its muscular sport-touring design and continues to offer premium features such as a full LED lighting setup, upside-down (USD) front forks, and factory-fitted touring accessories, including a visor, engine guard, and luggage carrier. These features make it one of the most value-packed touring motorcycles in its segment. With its reduced price and nearly unchanged performance, the 2026 Bajaj Dominar 400 now sits closer to the sub-350cc segment while still offering 400-class performance. This move is expected to attract more buyers looking for an affordable touring motorcycle in India. FYI, Bajaj Auto recently launched the 2026 Bajaj Pulsar 180 at Rs 1.22 lakh.
