We’ve long associated Royal Enfield motorcycles with big, bold metal machines that deliver a signature thud—an experience felt not just by the rider, but by everyone around on the road, with a presence that turns heads. The Royal Enfield Flying Flea C6 may not deliver that signature thud, but it’s a motorcycle that Royal Enfield has been working on for a while—and one that definitely commands attention. The Royal Enfield Flying Flea C6 is equipped with a 3.91kWh battery pack that powers a PMSM (Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor) to produce peak power of 15.4 kW (20.6 hp) and 60 Nm of torque. The IDC range of the Royal Enfield Flying Flea C6 is 154 km. The all-electric motorcycle takes 2 hours and 16 minutes to charge from 0 to 100 percent and comes with a 2.2 kW onboard charger, which offers three charging modes—Trickle, Standard, and Rapid. The Flying Flea C6 is a single-speed, belt-driven motorcycle with a kerb weight of 124 kg. You won’t find any steel used in the structural elements of the motorcycle. The main frame and fork are made of forged aluminium, while cast components are used for the subframe. The old-school yet modernised girder suspension system at the front steals the spotlight as we don’t get to see it on most modern motorcycles. The rear gets a monoshock suspension system. The Royal Enfield Flying Flea C6 has a ground clearance of 207 mm and a seat height of 827 mm, making it suitable for a variety of riding conditions. The motorcycle gets four riding modes – Rain, Touring, Performance, Eco and a fifth – ‘Custom’ mode that can be alter depending on rider’s preferences via a 3.5”-TFT display. The display features useful functions such as GPS, maximum and average speed, total energy consumption, and an analysis of how aggressively or conservatively the motorcycle was ridden throughout the trip. It also enables access to features such as turning off rear ABS, customising traction control, adjusting power output and throttle maps, and managing regenerative braking or coasting, all of which can be controlled via touch or the D-pad. You can connect your smartphone to the display to use GPS and several other features via the Flying Flea app, which will be available once the motorcycle is launched. Dual-channel ABS, IMU-enabled cornering ABS, keyless start with PIN access, and a wireless charger mounted on the tank under a lid are among the many standout features you’ll find on the Royal Enfield Flying Flea C6. Another noteworthy feature is the rotary-style selector at the inner end of the left grip, which makes it easy to navigate the dash on the move. CEAT has specially developed 19-inch slim tyres with Flying Flea branding for the Royal Enfield Flying Flea C6, designed to reduce rolling resistance and improve both ride quality and range. Among Indian motorcycle manufacturers that produce internal combustion engine motorcycles, Royal Enfield is set to enter the electric motorcycle space with the Royal Enfield Flying Flea C6. The Royal Enfield Flying Flea C6, first showcased at EICMA 2024, is now in its final stages of development. With pricing yet to be announced, the motorcycle is expected to debut in Bengaluru before rolling out to other cities.
