BMW F 450 GS Launched in Three Variants, Starting from Rs 4.70 Lakhs

BMW Motorrad launched the all-new F 450 GS in India on April 23, 2026. BMW F 450 GS is available in three variants – Base priced at Rs 4.70 lakh, Exclusive at Rs 4.90 lakh and GS Trophy priced at Rs 5.30 lakh, all ex-showroom.

Although all variants of the BMW F 450 GS are powered by the same engine, they are distinguished by the features offered in each variant.

Talking about the engine first –

An all-new 420 cc, parallel-twin, liquid cooled engine that produces 48 hp at 8,750 rpm and 43 Nm at 6,750 rpm. The motorcycle gets a six-speed gearbox that helps it achieve a claimed top speed of 165 kmph. BMW claims the all-new F 450 GS can shoot 100 kmph speed from dead stop in 5.9 seconds. The BMW F 450 GS is equipped with a 14-litre fuel tank, and BMW claims a fuel efficiency of 26 kmpl, resulting in fewer fuel stops on long rides.

With a kerb weight of 178 kg, the BMW F 450 GS become the lightest motorcycle from its rivals like KTM Adventure 390 and Royal Enfield Himalayan.

Suspension duties are handled by a 43 mm USD fork at the front and a preload-adjustable monoshock with travel-dependent damping at the rear. Both units are sourced from KYB. Only the GS Trophy variant gets the compression and rebound adjustability on the front.

Braking at the front is handled by Brembo four-piston caliper with a 310 mm front disc while the rear gets a Bybre single-piston caliper with a 240 mm disc.

All three variants come with alloy wheels as standard, and if you’re looking to add cross-spoke wheels for that neo-retro styling, BMW offers them as an optional accessory along with multiple windscreen options, luggage systems, handlebar risers and different seat configurations.

Feature-wise, the BMW F 450 GS Base, Exclusive, and GS Trophy variants differ in several aspects. –

• The Base variants come equipped with a 6.5-inch TFT display, all-LED lighting, and rider aids such as ABS Pro, engine drag torque control, and traction control. They also feature a height-adjustable rear brake lever (up to 20 mm) along with adjustable clutch and brake levers.

• The Exclusive variants provide all the features in the Base variant along with Riding Modes Pro, Shift Assistant Pro (quickshifter) and accessories such as off-road foot pegs, hand guards and an engine guard.

• The GS Trophy is the most premium variant and comes equipped with the Easy Ride Clutch as standard, allowing riders to stop, start, and shift gears without using the clutch lever. This enhances comfort in traffic while retaining manual control for off-road riding. The system can also be retrofitted on the other variants. The GS Trophy variant gets sport suspension, an aluminium engine guard, and a tinted Rallye windshield, in addition to all the features offered in the Exclusive variant.

The BMW F 450 GS Base and Exclusive variants are only available in Cosmic Black colour, while the GS Trophy variant is offered in BMW’s classic tricolour paint scheme.
