The all-new BMW M 1000 R is primarily derived from the standard S 1000 R, but underneath, it’s essentially an S 1000 RR stripped of its fairings. The BMW M 1000 R is powered by a 999cc oil-cooled inline four-cylinder engine that produces a whopping 205 hp at 13,750 rpm and 113 Nm of torque at 11,100 rpm. BMW claims the new M 1000 R can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.2 seconds and reach a top speed of up to 280 km/h. As part of its standard equipment, the M 1000 R features an M quick-action throttle and multiple ride modes, including Rain, Road, Dynamic, Race, and three customizable Race Pro modes (Race Pro 1–3), all of which can be adjusted via a 6.5-inch TFT display. Aided by a 6-axis sensor, these modes allow riders to fine-tune throttle response, engine braking, traction control, wheelie control, and ABS Pro according to their preferences and skill level. Dynamic Damping Control, heated grips, and a complimentary BMW Motorrad Ultimate Care Break-In Service are among the many features included as standard. The BMW M 1000 R also comes equipped with launch control and a pit lane limiter for riders who frequently hit the track to extract maximum performance. The all-new BMW M 1000 R now adopts a front design inspired by the S 1000 RR, with a more fitting look and a central air intake between the headlights. The aggressive look of the M 1000 R becomes even more brutal with the winglets mounted on the sides. These winglets not only enhance its visual appeal but also help keep the front wheel planted on the ground. The BMW claims that at 220 km/h, these winglets produce 24lbs (11kg) of downforce on the front wheel, helping the rider with later braking and earlier acceleration while cornering. Riders looking to get more out of the M 1000 R can opt for the M Competition package. It includes a GPS lap timer, carbon fibre components such as the rear mudguard, front mudguard, tank trim, airbox cover, engine guard, chain and pinion guards, and tank covers, along with additional track-focused hardware. The BMW M 1000 R is available in three colour options: Light White/M Motorsport (exclusive to the base model), White Aluminum Metallic Matte (available on both the base and M Competition package), and Blackstorm Metallic/M Motorsport (exclusive to the M Competition package).
