2026 Skoda Kodiaq: Skoda’s First Car to Feature ADAS

2026 Skoda Kodiaq features ADAS in two variants out of the three: ‘Sportline’ and ‘L&K’ gets the ADAS system while the base variant ‘Lounge’ misses on it.

Skoda Auto Launched the 2026 Kodiaq starting from Rs 36.99 lakh, ex-showroom. The 2026 Skoda Kodiaq comes in three variants-

• Lounge – 5-seater variant priced at Rs 36.99 lakh

• Sportline – 7-seater variant priced at Rs 44.99 lakh

• Selection L&K – 7-seater variant priced at Rs 46.99 lakh, all prices are ex-showroom.

The most interesting addition to the 2026 Skoda Kodiaq is the introduction of the Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS). With this update, the 2026 Skoda Kodiaq becomes the first Skoda car to feature ADAS. However, there is a catch. Out of the three variants on offer, ADAS is available only in the Sportline and Selection L&K variants, while the Lounge variant comes without ADAS. The ADAS features six driver assistance systems –

• Lane Assist – lane keeping system,

• Side Assist – Blind spot detection and lane change system

• Front Assist with warning and braking reaction

• Adaptive Cruise Control

• Rear Traffic Alert and

• Exit Warning system

For the 2026 Skoda Kodiaq Sportline variant, two features previously exclusive to the L&K variant have now been added. These include a 360-degree camera and a grille-integrated LED light strip.

The L&K variant offers ventilated (heating and cooling) and massaging seats with AGR certification (Aktion Gesunder Rucken – a German certification for products that promote spinal health and ergonomics).

A 10.25-inch driver display and a 13-inch infotainment, 13-speaker Canton sound with subwoofer, panoramic sunroof, electric seats, two wireless chargers, expandable cupholders are among many features offered in the top variants of the new 2026 Skoda Kodiaq.

On the premium side, the new Kodiaq features the elegant Interior ecoSuite Cognac theme, which uses cognac-brown leather upholstery processed through environmentally friendly tanning methods using olive leaf extracts and coffee bean residues. Complementing the SUV’s modern styling are the 18-inch Mazeno alloy wheels, specially designed with aero-optimized elements for the latest-generation Kodiaq.

Under the hood, the 2026 Skoda Kodiaq carries the previous 2.0-litre, turbo-petrol engine producing 201 bhp and 320 Nm of torque. The engine is paired with a DSG gearbox and standard Haldex AWD. This makes the 2026 Skoda Kodiaq go 0-100 kmph in under eight seconds. The ARAI-claimed fuel efficiency of the new Kodiaq is 14.86 kmpl. However, real-world efficiency may vary depending on driving conditions and driving style.
